Matrimony

Hello Anavil Friends
Let me bring you update with what is going around in Anavil Community. These are some of the observations (by me during my last visit to India)
INDIA
- Marriage is no more a family issue.
- Every parent of marriageable age children feels that 90% of their children want to decide whom they want to marry. Yes it is still true that children want their parents to suggest (find) suitable partner for them. Then children will take final decision.
- When children find their own partner, parent is left with no choice but to accept the new member to the family.
- The young generation feels caste is not a barrier when deciding life partner.
- Younger generation now feels marrying a divorcee or Single Again who has lost their life partner is not a disqualification. (I feel this is a progress for our community)
- Average marriage age seem to have gone up. We now see more unmarried adults after the age of 25 years.
USA
- Young adults seem to find their life partners themselves. (75% of the times)
- Marriage age for a typical Anavil adult seem to be reaching 30 years.
- There is a strong feeling about finding a partner in this country rather than looking for one in INDIA.
- There is an element of fear (distrust) in marrying a partner from India.
- As compare to marrying a same cast member from India preference seem to find a partner from different community in the country of resident.
With all this issues around us, I do not have a any good solution. If any of you have a good suggestion please come forward and help me out.
I still want to have a matrimonial web site that will help our young adults.
