Dear Anavil Friends

In last few months I have been getting lots of request as well as inquiries regarding youth gathering. The interest was more centered on the subject of Marriage and life partners. The indirect emphasis was on organizing some short of get together  specially designed for the group who are planning to get married in next two or three years.

My personal observation is that we American Anavils are too shy or too proud to admit that we are ready to get married and start the family. Most of us like to get married to an Anavil .The problem is how to find a suitable partner. Our community is .small and scattered in America and we don’t have a mechanism to bring all the eligible marriage candidates under one roof.

Some of us finally give up on finding a suitable partner in community. Our marriage system is not changing with time. A classical example is “if you ask an eligible bachelor about his marriage plan he will direct us to his family member (father or mother) If you ask the parents they will direct us to the candidate. So whom do we talk? How to start conversation? Finding partner our self is equally difficult. Where do we look? How to we get Information? In this awkward process we are not helping our children enough and they are growing up helplessly. With all these problems and no easy solution, we are going to be brave and try something this year. We are going to have a gathering in Columbia, South Carolina sometime this year. The participation criteria will be “open to all candidates who are ready to get married within a year or two. Once again we will provide accommodation and look after general security of participant. It will be a two days function. The two do able dates are Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Since this is first time we are trying we must have at least 20 participants’ hopefully equal male and female participation. I like to hear from the interested parties right away (before end of August 2009) to finalize the plan and program. The family members of the participant are welcome but they will have limited access to actual gathering and have to arrange for their accommodations.

The function we be hosted at Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites at Blythewood SC. You have to arrange for your transportation. If we have enough volunteers we will try to provide transportation from air port to Hotel.

We will also put  this circular on our web site www.anavilsamaj.com . This is the basic idea. We will refine this as we go along. All help and suggestions are welcome.
